SHAK Make & Take - Junk Art Journal

Local artist Rebecca Rayls will lead participants in making their own Junk Art Journal.  Utilizing various papers, found objects and craft items, guests will make "something out of nothing" by thoughtfully arranging and attaching items for this richly expressive mixed media project.

Rayls is passionate about clay sculpture and enjoys acrylic painting, flower arranging, fiber arts and printmaking. Rayls has studied at the Indianapolis Art Center and Herron School of Art.  Recent exhibitions include Valley of the Dolls II, Transforming Art in 2014 and Valley of the Dolls, Transforming Art in 2007.

The third Monday of the month is a hands-on Make & Take exploratory evening.

Participants are lead by local artists.  All materials and equipment are provided unless otherwise stated.

These events are free and open to members and the public.  Registration is recommended. 

These are great family projects, but availability is on a first come basis.
