SHAK is excited to partner with the Mayor's office for a Book Club/Comprehensive plan analysis.
Our first book will be Maker City: A Practical Guide for Reinventing American Cities
by Peter Hirshberg (Author), Dale Dougherty (Author), Marcia Kadanoff (Author)
As we work through sets of chapters, we will consider elements of the Kokomo City Comprehensive Plan and give our feedback to the city on a Maker's perspective on how to achieve or improve goals in the plan.
As the creative, problem solving members of the community, Makers have a unique "get it done" perspective. Now we have a direct line of communication to share those ideas and solutions with the local government.
We will meet Monthly on the last Thursday of the Month. You are Welcome to attend as many or as few of the sessions as possible, there is no consecutive attendance requirement. We do recommend reading chapters from any sessions you skip before attending.
