This spring, black sheep are driving an old Willie Nelson bus to explore the meaning of the "A" in STEAM based approaches to learning. We want to learn what's happening in the classroom, what's taking place in out-of-school learning environments, and what's going on in the artistic and entrepreneurial collaboratories of future-focused, community-connected small businesses and non profits.
Kokomo has a wide variety of STEAM related programs that are changing the way our students and our citizens think. We have amazing local programs that are helping entrepreneurs grow and stretch. Please come help us celebrate our successes and dive into a discussion on how we can do even better.
Black Sheep (blkshp.org) is an international collective of artists, executives, pop-culture figures, authors, educators and entrepreneurs who strive to unlock artistry and creativity in themselves and in their communities. We gather to play, to learn , to grow, and to tackle problems in our neighborhoods and cities. Sometimes, we have bigger, non-local impacts. No matter what- we have a helluva fun time.
6pm: Reception & Introductions
6:30 pm: Dinner, Discussion and Design. Join us to delve into the possibilities of what we could do better and what it will take to get there. Brainstorm, Connect and Design possibilities. The BLK SHP want to participate in the discussion, share their lessons learned from other cities and connect us with larger resources to thrive.

That evening, the IU Downtown Gallery ( just 2 doors down) will also be open for those who want to engage and discuss as they wander art.
We will have round tables with plenty of paper and pens, couches and small tables and opportunities for you to connect with others in the community.
Please join us to help us as we celebrate and plan the next level growth for STEAM programs and organizations around town.
