MIG Welding 101 - Before the Battle of the Bots at TinMan

  Learn MIG Welding Basics in this 4 hours class with  Nick Lambert

Friday is Robot Battle Night at TinMan- but Don't battle the Buckeye parking

SHAK is walking distance from TinMan. 

Complete your welding class and then you can stay parked at SHAK and walk over to the fights!. 

You will learn machine setup and operation as well as safety and spend 3 hours in the shop practicing and building.   Bring in clean steel scrap and take home your own custom scrap metal art piece *.   

From Butt Welds to Lap Joints, Learn the Basics of weld types and when/how to use them. 

A minimum of 2 students is required for this class to be offered. 

A maximum of 3 students will be accepted for this class, to maximize student to instructor time. 

This class is a pre-requisite to the Advanced Welding class. 

Nick is a certified welder who  has an associates of applied science, majoring in industrial tech, focused on structural steel welding. He is certified in 4 g mig welding and 3 g stick through the American welding society.  He has welded professionally at  Wabash national , Braun ability, and two guys mechanical.

 For the past year he has been assisting with instructing students in welding. 

*. Scrap should be enough to make a sculpture aprox 18 in tall in order to finish.
