Custom Wood Phone or Tablet Stand

Dreaming about a relaxing way to keep your device upright while using it? This DIY Device Stand class will teach you how to cut and assemble a small striped slab, and cut a perfect slot for any device. You will also learn the ins and outs of cutting, stacking, gluing and sanding to create a high quaility piece of functional artwork . In practicing these skills, students will take home a custom DIY Device Stand. Students should know the basics of measurement, and have proficiency with a protractor and angle measurements. ( Note: these are all skills which will be taught in the Intro to Woodshop classes).

This Class will be $5 for SHAK members and $7 for non members.  Non-members can get a $2 off a 1 month membership at the time of the class.  See Host for details.

This class is taught by Braxton Utsler.  A classically trained and certified carpenter, Braxton has been a part of the construction industry for more than 10 years. He has building experience ranging from small outdoor sheds, to large hospitals and high-rises. His favorite projects always involve fine woodworking and detail skills. His free time is either spent helping on the farm, or teaching others some of the knowledge he has acquired.
