Alterations 101

This month learn basic Serger skills. 

Students will learn how to thread the machine, when 3/4 thread is best for the task, and  what fabrics and needles are best matched. 

This class allows students to learn the basics of altering clothing during this 3 hour course. Students will learn repair skills such as moving and adjusting hems, repairing tears, adjusting fit, simple zipper fixes, and how to measure and make a simple pocket curtain. All skills will be practiced on mid to lightweight fabrics. 

Heavy fabrics and coat zippers will not be included as those are more advanced skills. Help with your personal serger requires manual (almost all are available online for download) and may also need scheduled for a separate help session.
